DOORWAYS was founded in 1988 by a group of faith leaders. A commitment to our interfaith heritage continues to this day. Our Board of Directors matrix includes positions for representatives from the Episcopal Church, St. Louis Rabbinical Association, Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod and/or ELCA), the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, the United Church of Christ, the United Methodist Church, and the Black Clergy Coalition.
Faith communities, civic groups, and private groups continue to strengthen our clients, our agency, our community, and the effort to stop the spread of HIV. We are grateful to our many donors, all listed in the annual DOORWAYS Impact Report. We look forward to welcoming new groups throughout the year through any of the following giving efforts.
- Help us build awareness about DOORWAYS and its mission by inviting an agency representative to speak to your congregation/membership.
- Organize a fundraising event or special collection of needed items. Please visit our Non-Cash Donations page for details, including our Amazon Wish List.
- Adopt-A-Family for the Holidays or sponsor a holiday celebration.
- Encourage members to volunteer.
