What Are Non-Cash Donations

Goods, professional services, and contributions of time through volunteer activities are essential to both supportive services for clients and to agency operations.

  • Goods: Coming from homelessness and poverty, our clients need many things to rebuild their lives. Most of these items are not available through the food stamp program. Click here for a current list of items our clients and families need.

Similarly, donations of office products, office supplies, and maintenance supplies/equipment help us expand budgets.

  • Professional Services: If you have an expertise to share with clients either individually or in a group, you could volunteer to lead a self-development program. Professionals are also welcomed as volunteers on agency committees.
  • Volunteering: Many opportunities are available. Please visit our Volunteer page.

Why Is This Important?

These goods and services are central to providing our mission. Most of our government grants focus on affordable housing and rent subsidies. Supportive services are critical to overall client stabilization, but rarely funded through grants. The positive impact of in-kind gifts on both revenue and expenses make them a valuable form of support.
